The strategy addresses four fields of action:
- long-term conservation,
- sustainable use
- the transfer of knowledge and information and
- the importance of international cooperation.
Genetic resources as the basis of our food and raw material supply, as an opportunity to adapt to climate change and as part of biodiversity and cultural heritage - genetic resources for agriculture and food are an essential part of our lives. This will also be the focus of the CGRFA meeting in Rome, which started on Monday, 24th March 2025.
