Report on the conservation and sustainable use of tree and shrub species in Germany's forests published.

The Federal-Länder Working Group "Forest Genetic Resources and Forest Seed Law"(BLAG-FGR) reports on the status of measures for the conservation and sustainable use of tree and shrub species in Germany's forests. The report now presented for the period 2014-2018 documents over 10,000 stands for in situ conservation covering an area of more than 34,600 ha for about 150 tree and shrub species. In addition, there were over 90 ex situ measures covering an area of just under 1,500 ha for around 75 tree and shrub species.
