The new call aims to fund ambitious and scientifically excellent transnational research projects that enhance the European Research Area's ability to provide practical and policy-relevant knowledge on how agrobiodiversity can increase the resilience of agroecosystems. In particular, the focus will be on the most vulnerable agroecosystems. How agricultural practices can be revitalized to increase ecological connectivity and enhance and monitor biodiversity at the landscape level will be explored. Opportunities and barriers to diversification will be identified.
Research proposals should address at least one of the following topics:
Agricultural genetic resources
Agricultural practices and agricultural models
Agrobiodiversity and territorial systems
The call takes place under the umbrella of the Joint Programming Initiative (JPI) on Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change (FACCE) and the ERA-NET SusCrop.
