This project aims to develop new potential for vegetable breeding from old vegetable varieties no longer available on the European seed market. In addition to the inclusion of consumer preferences, the entire value chain is to be taken into account. By developing a suitable communication instrument, the marketing of old varieties in organic food retailing will be tested in practice. In this way, old vegetables will be conserved on-farm and made available to breeders and consumers.
