National Inventory of Plant Genetic Resources (PGRDEU) Cultivated and wild plants

The National Inventory on Plant Genetic Resources in Germany (PGRDEU) is the central documentation on plant genetic resources of agricultural and horticultural species and related wild plants in Germany. It contains a wide range  of information on the diversity existing in Germany.

The National Inventory of Plant Genetic Resources in Germany (PGRDEU) is the central documentation platform for plant genetic resources of agricultural and horticultural species and crop wild relatives in Germany.

PGRDEU offers a central access to plant genetic resources which are conserved in German genebanks and at their natural sites. PGRDEU is the official interface to information systems such as:

•    the European Plant Genetic Resources Search Catalogue (EURISCO) of the European
      Cooperative Programme for Plant Genetic Resources (ECPGR)
•    the World Information and Early Warning System (WIEWS) of the FAO (Food and Agriculture
      Organization of the United Nations) for monitoring the second Global Plan of Action for
      Plant Genetic Resources
•    the Global Information System (GLIS) of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources
      for Food and Agriculture.
